Despite unconventional roots in the countryside of Oregon, Jessica Williams grew up with an eagerness to design beautiful gowns. Taught to sew at an early age, she quickly grew in skill and talent by making her own clothes and sketching glamorous dresses that she hoped to one day have a reason to make. After pursuing a degree in Political Science, she decided to follow her life’s passion and enrolled in the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Los Angeles. In the years that followed, she worked with St. John Knits and toured Europe, eventually ending up in New York City where she joined forces with Priscilla of Boston and became acquainted with the world of bridal fashion. Her talent for this particular field of design became quickly apparent, and she soon became part of JLM Couture where she now heads up three different labels.
