Masterminded by Oregon-based Myra Callan, the range is fresh, modern and diverse, and has certainly caught the eye of the public and press alike. And with a celebrity following from Elle Fanning, Shakira and Noureen DeWulf, to Bree Turner, Teresa Strasser and Desiree Hartsock, its success comes as no surprise, but rather testament to its contemporary twist on vintage design, which so perfectly adds that final polish to the wedding day look.
Founded in 2008 by Oregon-based Myra Callan, the Twigs and Honey mission was simply to bring a fresh and modern spin to hair adornments, and has progressed today into a leading bridal house spanning everything from veils and jewellery, headpieces to sashes, and everything in between. With a background in high fashion, which is fascinatingly mixed with Environmental Science, Myra set about carving her path in producing her inimitable and organic designs in her own unique way. Not one to play it safe, self-taught Myra experiments with textures, colours and styles, cleverly combining timeless vintage aesthetic with innovative and forward-thinking design, that brings such an original quality to her work. Crafted from fine silks, French lace, feathers, embroidery and embellishment, her attention to detail is rivalled by no other, ensuring the sparkly wishes of her brides-to-be come true, as her mantra goes. Self-taught she may be, but this designer has certainly proved her weight in gold alongside the greats in bridal, with a celebrity following from Elle Fanning to Shakira. She has enjoyed on-screen fame customising creations for Cannes film festival, NBC's GRIMM, and even recently launched her first book, Adornments, to critical acclaim. What makes Twigs and Honey so successful is no secret. It's a recipe made up of great design, fine materials and finesse, infused with the passion to craft each piece with unconditional love. It seems there is no end to Myra's talents and dreams, and we welcome her excitedly into the Les Trois Soeurs family as Twigs and Honey launches here with us this season. Enjoy!
