Namesake founder Alice Temperley received broad training for fashion design while focusing specifically on fabric technology and print, earning her Master’s at the Royal College of Art. She was winning awards before she even graduated, earing the ‘Award for Innovation’ from her undergraduate university and becoming ‘English Print Designer of the Year 1999’, and went on to be awarded Member of the Order of the British Empire for her contribution to the world of fashion in 2011. She began Temperley London in 2000 and followed with her own bridal and accessories labels just a few years later. While she sells from three of her own shops in the UK as well as others in Qatar and Dubai, her gowns and accessories are stocked by some of the most prestigious stores around the globe.
