Begun over a decade ago by designer Ulla-Maija, the business is now comprised of several individuals passionately committed to the concept of exclusive, couture luxury in bridal design. Anna Maier and her husband immigrated to the US in the late 19th century. Originally from eastern France, she was an expert tailor with unique creativity when it came to design. Her spirit lives on through the eponymous brand, now run by her great-grandson, Charles W. Bunstine II. Formerly the president of Barneys New York, Charles is known for his use of dramatic silhouettes and sumptuous fabrics. In addition to their reputation for precision in custom-made wedding gowns, Anna Maier ~ Ulla-Maija has garnered worldwide acclaim for their exquisite collections, debuting in the spring and fall of each year.
