Shortly after graduating from Ray College of Design in the Illinois Institute of Art, Lazaro Perez won Best New Bridal Design, sweeping all three categories: bridal, bridesmaid, and mother of the bride. He went on to work with several other major designers such as Richard Glasgow and the famous bridal house of Galina-Bouquet. In 1994 he was recruited as a designer for the JLM Couture group, where he flourished and began to produce multiple collections. Fifteen years later, he was made head designer of a new label, Tara Keely. Lazaro Perez is known for his personal touch, often traveling to many of his own trunk shows to share ideas with brides and assist them in finding the gown that is right for them. The height of glamour and couture, his richly embellished designs are some of the most coveted in all of bridal fashion.
