The three sisters were raised in Norfolk during the late 1970s and moved to London in their early years. Their mother was a pattern cutter and seamstress by trade and would make clothes for the girls, which they had designed for themselves. When they were growing up, the girls would naughtily take their mother’s fashion magazines, cut around pictures of their favourite bridal dresses and accessories, then transfer their choices onto a template for paper cut out dolls. Raised by traditional, old-fashioned parents, the girls were taught to study hard and all three went to university.
