Trained at Alexander McQueen in London and Roberto Cavalli in Florence, Alon Livné has fast become Israel’s most distinguished fashion designer, winning the Israeli edition of Project Runway in which his creations were critically acclaimed by the industry elite and the public in equal measure, who fell in love with his elaborate couture creations, sculptural designs and intricate handwork.
Following TV fame, Livné established his own line, and in February 2013 showcased his first runway show at New York Fashion Week, presenting his Fall/Winter 13 collection. The collection caused major style waves in the industry, as well as with influencers the world over and Naomi Campbell, Lea Michele and Nina Garcia were soon spotted in his prestigious gowns, firmly placing him on map as one of fashion’s most reputable newcomers.
Continuing on his celebrity streak, he was later selected by Beyoncé as one of the lucky few fashion houses commissioned to create outfits for her Mrs. Carter Show tour, and quickly gained status as one of Lady Gaga’s go-to designers.
